Today's forecast is an astonishing 26C/79F partly cloudy. It only feels that warm when the sun comes out, but it's pleasant out there.
My day started with the alarm at 7am - Mr Cee got up straight away, but I listened to the news before I surfaced. Something had been killed overnight and there were 'remains' on the rug in the main living room. I've no idea what it was, but it didn't take long to clear up as someone had eaten most of whatever it was *bleuch!*. Such is life when you share your house with three cats...
After a quick breakfast I got ready to go out as I had decided to walk to my 'Melt' class which is about a mile and three quarters away. The class is very low impact as we use large soft foam rollers and small soft balls to massage joints and extend them too. Today we did some hand and arm massage and strength exercises, then some exercises for our back, arms and large leg muscles. As usual, it was really good and I felt very supple and relaxed afterwards. I walked to the nearby town centre to catch the bus home so I ended up walking around three miles.
Once I got in I realised I'd completely forgotten that we'd put some laundry on to wash overnight and it was still in the machine! As it was warm I hung it in the garden to dry. By then it was lunchtime, so Mr Cee took a break from work to join me for a sandwich (homemade sourdough bread, plant-based 'pastrami' and pickles - yum).
In the afternoon I sorted out and cleaned some of the drawers in the kitchen which now look much better. While I was doing that Mr Cee finished work a little early to take Tippi to the vet. This time of year she reacts badly to the harvest mites in the garden and ends up scratching and causing nasty self-inflicted wounds. She's particularly bad this year so she needed some treatment to help with the irritation. She was (as usual) very polite and well-behaved even when she had to have a shot and hopefully that might help her itching. We treat any kitty wounds with Manuka honey paste from the vet, so Mr Cee bought some more of that to have for future use too.
The garden is currently looking lovely with some plants madly flowering after the rain we've had recently. A few photos under the cut.
The lemon trees are flowering (totally the wrong time of year!)

Colourful petunias

The veg trug herbs are going mad with growth - rosemary, thyme, sage, chives, garlic chives, marjoram and oregano.

The hibiscus plants are all covered in huge buds again.

The begonia hanging baskets are still flowering and looking very pretty.

The Comté de Chambord rose has another flush of flowers.

Fushia

One of my favourite Japanese anemone plants - "Ruffled Swan"

In the evening we had poached salmon and salad for dinner as it was still warm and it felt like the last dregs of summer. The rest of the evening we caught up with some things on the TV that we'd recorded and bedtime was around 10.30pm
